C&G Careers

C&G recently presented to a class of accounting students at Wisconsin Lutheran College about career paths in public accounting. Mark Albrecht, audit partner; Michele Horst, tax manager; and Paul Rodrigues, fraud/litigation principal represented the various career paths that a firm such as C&G has to offer. They each spoke of their professional journey that led them to either financial statement auditing, tax compliance and planning, and fraud examination and litigation support. They left the students with an enhanced enthusiasm for the accounting profession after sharing some memorable stories from each of their personal career experiences. A career in accounting is so much more than ‘counting beans’. CPAs are a business owner’s most valued advisor.

C&G is actively involved in recruiting future accounting professionals from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and Whitewater. We are already interviewing interns for the 2012 tax season. Our internship program is mutually beneficial for us and the students. The interns gain valuable experience and we have the opportunity to get to know them prior to hiring them on a full-time basis. Two of our recent interns are now full-time team members. Eric Neuman is based in our IL office and performs audits as well as tax return preparation. Megan Zais is in our Waukesha, WI office and focuses on accounting and audit work. Jason Povlich is our newest C&G intern success story! Read his story found on the Featured Professional.
